Nurses who have completed a practical nursing program and are licensed to practice as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN or LVN), but wish to continue their nursing education and careers should get info. LPNs who have been employed in the nursing field often feel the desire to become Registered Nurses. Completing an online LPN to RN or BSN Program allows LPN’s to achieve this goal, and the extra income from an advanced Nursing Degree.
LPN to BSN Program
Advanced placement is available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) wishing to enter an RN or BSN program. The LPN who wishes to get their RN or BSN must
- Graduate from a NLNAC-accredited licensed practical nursing program;
- Be currently licensed as an LPN and/or Licensed Visiting Nurse (LVN);
To fulfill the nursing program requirements, the LPN must meet all the required nursing, and general education courses included as part of the RN or BSN curriculum. The number of semesters required for completion of the program is contingent upon the number of non-nursing support courses that the LPN needs to fulfill. The additional nursing component of the program can be completed in 3 semesters.
